Welcome!

Welcome to the Tulane University website for Physics, Engineering Physics and Astronomy.

Along with our current and well-established programs, we are currently in a building phase, adding undergraduate Engineering Physics and planning graduate Materials Science with our Physics program. Both teaching and research are experiencing exciting growth. Our goal is to find new and effective ways to expand and integrate cutting edge science and technology for the challenges of the 21st century. We sincerely hope you'll join us and be a part of this growth.

Whether a prospective graduate student, an undergraduate contemplating a major in physics or engineering physics or a scientist interested in postdoctoral or faculty positions, we appreciate your interest in Tulane and we hope that you will find our programs and research opportunities particularly attractive.

Sincerely,
James H. McGuire, Department Chair
